Role of Paper Suppliers and Paper Distributors in the Industry

We use papers in every aspect, but rarely realize the different varieties of papers available at retail stores or online. There is much more to the paper industry than just notebooks or textbooks. From magazines and novels, to design books and catalogs, paper is a commodity in any industry. This makes the paper suppliers and paper distributors an important part of the supply chain. The printers and publishers use different quality of paper for different types of books. 

Even in the notebook segment, the price varies according to the quality, the size and the type of paper.

Owing to these reasons, the paper suppliers have become pioneers in inventing new types of paper. At present, the importance has moved to high quality papers. Designers and copywriters are the main focus in this segment for the paper distributors.  It has been observed that high end books and magazines prioritize the need of the high quality paper from the paper distributors. The quality of the papers also determines the brand image when using products like magazines, catalogs, brochures etc.

Recycled paper has long been incorporated in our daily lives. But, the search for new technologies in recycling paper has been a continuous process. The major paper suppliers have invested significant amounts of money for upgrading the process. A major concern for the paper suppliers across the world is the increasing demand for banning companies linked to deforestation.

Many instances have been identified in the past where multi-million dollar contracts have been cancelled due to allegations. In view of the degrading environment and the responsibility that the companies possess, the investment by the paper suppliers, in terms of time and money, to improve the recycling process has been inevitable.

Monetarily, this investment would ensure the company’s reputation remains high and there would be no massive losses in terms of cancellation of contracts.

Paper suppliers have a huge task ahead in the future where continuous innovation is required in terms of finding new technology for the recycling and improving the quality at the same time. Paper Distributors also form an important part as the agent between the consumers and the suppliers and integrates the whole system.
